NATURE
If you’re looking for a bit more of an adventure, take a short drive over to Sandbanks Provincial Park – one of the hidden gems of Ontario’s parks, boasting the largest bay-mouth barrier dune formation in the world, three beaches, and epic bird migrations in the shoulder seasons.
The public beach is just a stone’s throw from The Wellington General (4 blocks, to be exact).
For a bit of exercise, jump on the Millennium Trail, a 48km point-to-point trail that connects the county and is popular for cross-country skiing, hiking, and biking (check out Ideal Bike around the corner from us for bike rentals).
WINERIES
Prince Edward County is Ontario’s fastest growing wine region and with over 35 winemakers in the area, there are countless vineyards to spend your days exploring. Known for serious wines + refreshingly unpretentious tasting experiences, the wine scene in this part of the world is buzzing with innovation and passion.
